Terms

These terms describe the Mathnatic test release. An adult must control every account and all purchases. An account may be configured for individual practice or for multiple players.

Playing Mathnatic

Try Mathnatic is session-only guest play without saved progress. A guest may explicitly carry the current session into a new profile during signup. Individual accounts provide one adult-managed learning profile. Multiple-player accounts may create player profiles, choose games, use learning-level game recommendations, set child-wide learning skills, choose whether game setup appears before play, test games without saving test results, grant play time, and review progress and recent game activity. Compatible games share skill history and may use it to adapt later questions when Adaptive Practice is enabled. One Manager PIN always protects player deletion and Manager Lock changes. When Manager Lock is on, it also protects Manager View during Player Mode; when it is off, players may leave Player Mode and change settings without a PIN. Deleting a synchronized profile removes its Cloud profile and progress. Mathnatic retains only its opaque profile identifier and deletion time so an older signed-in device cannot recreate it automatically. Adult account owners are responsible for supervising use and keeping account, email, and PIN access private.

PIN access and recovery

A device linked over a secure connection keeps a protected offline PIN verifier so Manager controls can work without a connection. Changing or recovering the PIN invalidates older device copies after they reconnect. A forgotten PIN can be replaced only after Clerk re-verifies the account owner, normally with an email code or a new sign-in.

Plans

Free access includes a growing game collection, device-local progress, one individual learning profile or up to two player profiles, global learning settings, and Manager controls. Manual backup export and import are not included with Free. Lifetime access is a one-time entitlement for premium games and expanded controls; progress remains separate on each device unless an adult exports and imports it. Cloud access is a monthly subscription that adds automatic progress syncing, new game-idea submissions, and private idea collaboration. Six successful Cloud monthly payments permanently earn Lifetime access. Complimentary Lifetime can be granted by the Mathnatic owner without payment and includes Cloud features.

Cloud synchronization

Mint Meadow, Midnight Grove, Berry Bloom, and Blue Steel are shared app themes selected in Manager View or Individual Account settings, alongside a shared completion-fireworks switch. Reduced-motion preferences suppress fireworks. The theme stays consistent when Players change or enter a game. Choices stay on the current device for Free and Lifetime and synchronize only with active Cloud or Complimentary Lifetime access. Guests use Mint Meadow without a saved theme choice.

Cloud-enabled play saves changes on the current device first and synchronizes accumulated changes at meaningful checkpoints, including completed rounds, leaving Player Mode, reconnecting, returning to the foreground, and a maximum regular delay of five minutes while changes are waiting. Another signed-in device may therefore see eventual rather than answer-by-answer updates. Pending changes remain on the device and retry automatically until acknowledged.

Different Players may be active on different online devices. To reduce conflicting use, the same Player normally cannot start on a second online device until the first session ends or has been idle for five minutes. Offline devices cannot observe one another; if rare overlap occurs, Mathnatic automatically merges completed rounds, points, practice attempts, best results, and the most recent setting changes after reconnection.

Test billing

Paid plans are currently offered only to account owners with a United States billing address. Stripe is connected in test mode. Test checkout does not buy a live entitlement and must not be treated as a real charge. Live billing will not begin until pricing, refunds, taxes, regional availability, cancellation, privacy, and support procedures are finalized.

Refunds and billing help

When live billing begins, an account owner may request a refund within 30 days of a Lifetime purchase or first Cloud charge. Later Cloud renewal charges are generally non-refundable except where required by law or when a duplicate charge or confirmed technical billing error occurred. Submit billing questions and refund requests through Support in Manager View. Mathnatic will review the account and Stripe transaction before deciding the request.

Cloud cancellation

A scheduled cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Cloud data then remains read-only for 30 days. The account owner can keep a local copy or delete the cloud copy sooner. After the retention window, player profiles and progress are scheduled for deletion.

Backups

Lifetime, active Cloud, and Complimentary Lifetime accounts can use manual backup export and import. Backups are readable files containing player nicknames, settings, the shared theme and fireworks choices, favorite-game choices, and progress. They do not contain the account email, sign-in credentials, billing data, or Manager PIN. Account owners should keep backup files somewhere appropriate.

Fair use

Do not attempt to disrupt the service, access another account's data, bypass paid access, submit harmful material, or use Mathnatic in a way that violates law. Active Cloud and Complimentary Lifetime accounts can choose Suggest a Game in Support and discuss the idea privately with authorized Mathnatic administrators. Ideas may be declined and do not transfer ownership or guarantee development. Existing game-idea conversations remain readable after a plan change.

Support

Signed-in account owners can contact Mathnatic through Support in Manager View, exchange private messages, and follow the request status there. Anyone can email mathnatic.support@gmail.com for support or privacy requests. Account replies reopen a request for attention; administrator replies and status changes are separate actions. Do not send passwords, Manager PINs, payment-card numbers, or unnecessary information about a minor.

Changes and availability

Games and free or premium classifications may change as the library grows. Existing paid entitlements will be handled according to the plan terms in effect when live billing begins. Test features may change or be unavailable while they are being validated.
